RAMIRENT TO SPONSOR 2009 IIHF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - WORLD CLASS ICE HOCKEY ACTION
IN SWITZERLAND
Ramirent, the leading equipment rental Group in Northern, Central and Eastern
Europe, is proud to announce that it is one of the Official Sponsors of the 2009
IIHF World Championship - world class ice hockey action in Switzerland. The
event will take place in Berne and Zurich-Kloten from 24 April to 10 May 2009.
This is the first IIHF World Championship sponsorship for Ramirent.
“This is a great opportunity for Ramirent,” says Ramirent's Head of Corporate

thirteen countries where Ramirent is operating, nine are dedicated ice hockey
fans with strong national teams that are competing in the 2009 IIHF WM. Many of
our Central and Eastern European countries are competing in the event. This
region is one of our most important markets. It has a large population, a
growing construction industry, and the equipment rental business is still in its
early stages.”
For Switzerland, the 73rd IIHF World Championship in Berne and Zurich-Kloten
will be the biggest sports event of 2009. Over 500,000 spectators are expected
to attend - and another 600 million will be watching on TV. Ramirent already has
a close connection with ice hockey through its support of the Swedish Hockey
League and its twelve teams.
